Is it procrastination when you don’t work while on vacation? Yes, if you could have done the work before hand, then didn’t. That’s exactly what happened to me this week while on . . . wait for it . . . vacation. I haven’t been overseas – cut off from the work hours of the USA – for the length of the pandemic. Before leaving I decided to leave my computer behind, and cut the electronic ties. Two days before actually taking flight, I changed my mind. I’d write today’s post while there, inspired by the cafe culture of Vienna.
Guess what happened? I was so inspired by the cafe culture that I slipped back into early nineteenth-century life like I’d been born there. Pen and notebook, yes. Computer didn’t make it out of my suitcase.
Your Turn:
Tune in next Wednesday for a peek at cafe culture, until then, what’s your vacation routine? Catching up on emails and other tasks, or cutting all ties to the twenty first century? Share here, on Facebook, or on Twitter.
