Memorial Day Reading List

I was going to draw up a list of great books to read for Memorial Day, and then I happened to wander over to the American Writers Museum and saw that they had already compiled a wonderful list. So I thought perhaps I might just borrow/steal/be inspired by it.

If I were going to add a recommendation of my own, it would be Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand. An inspiring story of a man who endures almost unbelievable hardship, it gives you a good sense of the grit and courage required to be a soldier.

How about you? What would you recommend for Memorial Day reading? Join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.

Above all, thank you to those soldiers who sacrificed everything for our country. We remember them. Happy Memorial Day!
