I’m reading The Searcher by Tana French now because when it first came out, I wasn’t very focused for a number of reasons and I wanted to savor every word of the book by my favorite author. Now that I know a sequel is coming in March, I’m even more engaged.
So what are you reading now? Time for show and tell on National Read a Book Day!
Hey, you said I was your favorite author. : )
I love Tana French too. I thought she couldn’t outdo Dublin Murder series but the new books are just as good.
Aw, Lane, you are but I think being a Miss Demeanors disqualifies you. 🤨
I love Tana French and am eagerly awaiting her new one, but for now I’m reading Then She was Gone by Lisa Jewell, which is great. (The comment section won’t allow me to post pictures, so you’ll have to imagine it.)
I’m disappointed not to see the cover and you reading it. Lisa Jewell spins a great tale and the one you’re reading is no exception.
I’m finishing All The Sinners Bleed by SA Cosby and I’m really enjoying it. Next up is The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth. I just finished listening to City on Fire by Don Winslow and enjoyed that a great deal as well.
Emilya, it didn’t occur to me when I asked readers to post photos of them reading that some might be listening and all we’d see is ear buds! Don Winslow is on my list. SA Cosby has become a favorite.
I’m reading Home at Night by Paula Munier, latest in her Mercy Carr series. I enjoy her cast of characters and that wonderful New England setting. The mystery revolves around a poet and lost artifacts, but there’s already been a body found in the old Victorian mansion Mercy and her new husband are thinking of buying–a fixer-upper with a murder–who could resist?
I just finished Reykjavik by Iceland’s Prime Minister, Katrin Jakobsdottir, with Ragnar Jonasson. And up next will be J. Woollcott’s sequel to A Nice Place to Die, Blood Relations, a police procedural series set in Dublin. Creative cast.
I’m a huge Tana French fan, too!
Well, now I have an even longer list TBR! I finished The Midnight hour by Elly Griffiths and Death in Print by G. M. Malliet. Then I went on to two historicals. The first, This House is Haunted by John Boyne, is set in Victorian England. The second, Mrs. England by Stacey Halls (man, do I admire her writing) is set in Edwardian England. I am now, finally, reading Ruth Ware’s latest, Zero Days. TOO MANY GOOD BOOKS!!!

Dead Drop by James L’Etoille. Man, what a ride! (Not in the British sense of the term.)
