Hide in Place

Today is the launch date for our newest Miss Demeanor’s debut book, Hide in Place. It sounds like an incredible story: She left the NYPD in the firestorm of a high-profile case gone horribly wrong. Three years later, the ghosts of her past roar back to terrifying life.

Publication day is such a huge day in a writer’s life. You spend your life imaging what it will be like, and there’s all the excitement that precedes that day. But when the day actually arrives, it’s also sort of terrifying. What if no on buys your book? What if no one likes it? What if all the amazon reviews are bad? I felt something similar when my kids when off to kindergarten. I knew I loved them, but what if no one else did. (It worked out just fine.)

I wish for Emilya’s book all sorts of joys and triumphs, but, to help that along, I’ve ordered my copy and plan to write a review. I’m sure you’ll want to do that too. 🙂 You can click here.

Congratulations Emilya!

  1. Oh wow, that’s exactly what it feels like. I keep wanting to preemptively apologize to everyone in case they don’t like it! Thank you for such an understanding and warm send off.
